The department has been engaged in various activities ranging from Research, consultancies and even servicing other Universities through conducting Lab exercise to their students.

This has been enabled by the department receiving donation of equipment through MOEST/ADB Project.

The department has been hosting various Secondary Schools as a way of motivating the students to consider doing Engineering in future.
