Fourth Term Activities


The Department of Electrical and Information Engineering is a blend of teaching and research activities pertaining Telecommunications, Microwave and Antennas as well as Electrical Power Systems, Power Electronics and Variable Machine Drives. To ensure that all these are covered accordingly and also to produce holistic well-grounded graduates at all levels, with the requisite knowledge and practical skills in electrical and electronics engineering, through teaching research, innovation and consultancy as per our vision, the Department ensure that second and third year students are involved in fourth term activities which last for eight weeks.

The activities involved include the following; Programming and Electrical Installation for second years and Circuit design, Fabrication and Microcontroller for third years. The students were also to visit  various industries within the country. Second years went to Ngong Wind Power Station, Kenya Pipeline Company and Longonot Satllite Earth Station.
