Power Engineer

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Planning and designing of E2E network energy system.

·         Products integration, commissioning and troubleshooting.

·         Support network energy service development (service sales); Categorize power service scenario; matching power service solution; Design power delivery strategy.

·         Service cost analysis, such as manpower and subcontractor

·         Periodic business operation control and optimization, monitor revenue, cost, etc..

REQUIREMENTS

 

·         Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current/Power will be an added advantage)

·         At least 2 years working experience specializing in power product.

·         Knowledge in network energy product ,power system(rectifier), battery, Genset, solar system, fuel cell, AVR, inverter, etc.

·         Familiar with Kenya’s telecommunication industry standards, SNI.

·         Project operation experience, good communication and team work skills.

·         Has good organizational skills and execution capability to endure high delivery pressure.

 

Quality Control Engineer

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure site quality process is being followed and implemented according to customer requirements
  • Daily reports to QA and Project Manager
  • Prepare and circulate project QEHS report and follow-up and corrective/preventive actions internally and from Suppliers and subcontractors
  • Support the development, maintenance and monitor the execution of project/customer specific quality plan
  • Provide technical assistance to subcontractor’s engineers and supervisors in resolving quality control issues and engineering related problems as per agreed QA/QC quality program, procedures, designed specifications and standard specifications.
  • Must support and advise on quality solutions on site when necessary.
  • Conduct QEHS training and keep QEHS records up to date

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Must be holder of degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunications or any other related field.
  • One-two  year experience in site quality control
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must have strong managerial and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under high pressure and be willing to work long hours when required

Design Engineer

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for Telecommunications site technical survey and details design.
  • Ensure that site infrastructure designs, construction and electrical standards and specifications are agreed with the customer prior to the start of the project.
  • Review site specific designs as produced by the Design Consultancy or subcontractor and make recommendations to manage cost and simplify construction
  • Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements
  • Accountable for  Fiber Optical Cable(F.O.C) Network engineering route survey and design
  • Output detailed Bill of Quantity for F.O.C project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication/civil engineering degree.
  •  2-5years working experience in optical fiber cable project survey and design field or implementation field.
  • Must be familiar with outside plant and inside plant survey & design standards and specification of optical fiber cable engineering.
  • Has knowledge of optical fiber cable engineering survey & design process.
  • Familiar with various planning & design tools of optical fiber cable engineering. (AUTOCAD, Google Earth etc)
  •  Excellent skills in preparation of BOQ’s in OFC field
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and under a lot of pressure.

 

Procurement Manager

 

Report to:  Procurement Director

Location:  Kenya

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Negotiate with key suppliers regarding the supply agreement (long-term), purchasing cooperatives, cost control, quality and other major issues and lastly sign the contract.
  • Fully understand Supplier qualification process, selection method & process and be able to lead supplier selection team to accomplish procurement strategy, bid process, contract process.
  • Supplier performance management process and lead project team to do performance evaluation.
  •  Supplier relationship management and Contract management.
  • Use of procurement IT systems to work and handling of exceptional procurement process.
  • Use all previous process and systems to lead project delivery, in respect of planning, resources, tools, materials, etc.
  • Try to find the most competitive price or resource to maximize company benefits
  • Be familiar with engineering industry benchmark, rules and fluctuation trends

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor Degree in procurement or related field with more than 3 years of experience in procurement, management, strategic sourcing.
  • Solid understanding of procurement and/or supply chain management process and has telecommunication background.
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed and goal oriented, demonstrate accuracy in work performed, and ability to prioritized and make sound business judgment with sharp market insight and good sensitivity and ability to judge risk.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be able to multi task, work with people of diverse culture and is willing to travel.
